The Models of Yesteryear Silver Jubilee was released in 1981. It was not one of the most popular versions of the model T van.

This very special edition of the 1912 Model T Ford Van is presented in a unique livery which has been exclusively designed, to commemorate 25 years of Models of Yesteryear.

With few exceptions Lesney Products or Matchbox Toys have seldom deviated from their policy whereby all logos or liveries on commercial vans in the "Models of Yesteryear" range must be contemporary with the vehicle in question. However, with the imminent Anniversary of 25 years production of Models of Yesteryear it was decided to create a livery on the Model "T" Ford van which would celebrate the Anniversary in style. Although much thought and effort went into the design, the final result was never accepted by collectors with any great enthusiasm. The model was packaged in an "All White" straw box with an overprint in black reflecting the 25th Anniversary.

Variations/Rarities: It was painted green with a dark green chassis and pale grey roof. It had black seats and chromed radiator and windscreen frame.
It can be found with 12 or 24 spoke yellow or 12 spoke red or chrome wheels.
The first version had type 1 "plain" rear doors and the later issues type 2 "ornate" rear doors.
Early issues had a Y12 baseplate while later issues had no Y number.
The most desirable piece being the very rare first issue with type 1 rear doors.
